How to save video progress in browser?

What is the "Continue Where You Left Off" Feature?

The "Continue Where You Left Off" feature allows your users to resume the video exactly from where they stopped, providing a smoother and more efficient experience.

This feature is especially useful for online courses and VSLs, where students can close the video window and continue later without losing their progress.

Additionally, it helps optimize bandwidth usage, as the video does not need to reload from the beginning every time the user returns. This feature improves the user experience and increases course completion rates.

How to Enable "Continue Where You Left Off" in Your Video

Enabling this feature in your video is simple and can be done in just a few steps:

  1. In your library, select the video where you want to activate the feature.

  1. In the video settings, scroll down to the Advanced section and click "Continue Where You Left Off".

  1. Enable the feature and save your changes.

User Prompt Screen

You have the option to enable a prompt screen that asks the user if they want to continue from where they left off or start from the beginning.

This option is very useful in VSLs (Video Sales Letters), allowing you to offer the user a choice.

In addition, you can customize the text on the prompt screen to tailor the message to your audience.

Considerations About How It Works

The "Continue Where You Left Off" feature stores data locally in the user's browser. This means that if the user switches browsers (for example, from Chrome to Firefox), progress information will be lost because it is specific to the browser being used.

To ensure this information is maintained even when changing browsers, you can integrate the feature using our integration API, which stores progress centrally on our platform.
