How does the Panda Extension works?

Panda Video: A Smarter Way to Manage and Distribute Online Video Content

The extension is able to detect videos present on the pages you visit. It is compatible with the main platforms in the market, including Vimeo, Hotmart, SmartPlayer, Kiwify, as well as websites hosting videos in MP4 or MOV formats.

In this guide, we show you how to make the most of this powerful tool.

1. Steps to download the “Panda Video” extension on Google Chrome:

Open Google Chrome
Make sure you are using the Google Chrome browser.

Go to the Chrome Web Store
Enter this site

Search for the extension “Panda Video"
In the search field, type: “Panda Video” and press Enter.

Click on the extension
When you find it, click on the name of the extension to open its page.

Click on “Use in Chrome”
A blue button will appear. Click on “Use in Chrome” or “Add to Chrome”.

Confirm installation
A window will open asking you to confirm. Click on “Add extension”.

Wait for the installation to finish
In a few seconds, the extension will be installed. An icon may appear in the top right corner of Chrome.

After installation, access your Panda Video account via the extension. Once logged in, you'll have direct access to your video library, with a clear and organized view of your content.

How video search on the page works and how to import videos:

It is possible to find videos on the main platforms for course and video hosting in the market. Each platform may have its particularities, but the extension’s standard behavior is that when you load a page containing a video, it will be listed.

🟣 Vimeo

When you access your video library, all videos should be loaded into the extension. This way, you can organize yourself to start the import.

🟠 Hotmart, SmartPlayer, and Kiwify

You need to access each lesson and click the load icon so the video appears in the list. After listing all videos, just click "Import" and choose the folder in Panda Video where you want to save them.
For Hotmart and Kiwify, you must access the members’ area view, lesson by lesson, to load the videos into the extension.

📁 Sites with MP4 or MOV videos

The extension can also find videos in MP4 or MOV formats on pages you visit. This will depend heavily on how the site hosts the videos. If you have any doubts, please contact our support team for assistance.

If needed, we have detailed articles explaining how to import from these platforms:

History and Import

After selecting the videos you want to import and choosing the folder, the import process will start. Videos are imported 2 at a time. Do not log out of the extension or close the browser during this process.

In the History tab, you can see the current status of imports, including completed, in progress, and queued videos. By selecting the History tab, you can remove a video (canceling it's import) or set a video as a priority. This way, it will be the next to be imported!

After importing into your Panda Video account, the videos will go through the Conversion process as usual.

Transferring/Importing videos using a CSV file

The Panda extension also allows you to import and transfer multiple videos at once using a CSV file. For this, you can request the source platform, such as Vimeo, to generate a CSV listing your videos — this file usually includes the video URLs.

Once you have the CSV file, follow the steps below:

Open the Panda extension in Chrome;

Click on the CSV tab, then click Upload file;

Select the generated CSV file and open it in the extension;

With the file open, you will be able to map the columns to the corresponding fields in Panda — for example, the column with the video name, video ID, or URL.

This mapping is important so the system correctly recognizes each video and can carry out the transfer automatically and in an organized way.
