How to configure the domain in Panda Video?

How to configure the domain where your videos will be played

The Domain Lock feature allows you to control where your videos can be viewed. Even if someone has the direct video link, it won’t play unless the domain is authorized.

This adds an extra layer of protection to ensure your content’s exclusivity and security.

How to configure a domain

💡 You can add multiple domains, including member platform subdomains.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. In the sidebar menu, click Security.
  3. Go to the Allowed Domains tab.
  4. Enable the “Only allow selected domains” option.
  5. Click “Add Domains” and enter the desired domains.

✅ Once entered correctly, the domain will appear as “active” after a few seconds.

Configuration examples:

⚠️ Example: to allow www.pandavideo.com, enter *.pandavideo.com

How to remove a domain

  1. Go to Security > Allowed Domains.
  2. Find the domain in the list.
  3. Check the blue box to the left of the domain.
  4. Click the red “Remove” button at the top of the list.

How to disable domain verification

You can toggle this feature on or off at any time:

  1. Go to Security > Allowed Domains.
  2. Toggle the switch next to “Only allow selected domains”.
  3. Enter your password to confirm.

⚠️ If you disable this feature, your videos can be played on any platform, without restrictions.

What is domain verification?

It’s the process the player performs when loading to check if the page is authorized to display the video.

If the domain is not on the allowed list, the video will be automatically blocked.

🔄 This feature does not work in apps or local software, as it relies on web referer policy.

What is the domain warning?

This message appears when the page where the video is embedded is not authorized in your Panda Video account.

This block prevents unauthorized link sharing and protects your content from unapproved access.

How to fix it?

  1. Log into your Panda Video account.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Go to Allowed Domains.
  4. Check if the correct domains (with or without www, subdomains, etc.) are added.
  5. Add or adjust the domains as needed.

✅ Save your changes to ensure your videos are embedded and displayed correctly.
