Fake Progress Bar: How to Configure It on Panda Video
What is the Dummy Progress Bar?
The Dummy Progress Bar is a widely used feature in VSLs (Video Sales Letters), sales pages, and other interactive content.
It simulates a faster video progress than the actual playback time, creating the impression that the video is being watched in less time.
This technique increases the chances of users watching the video until the end or reaching the sales pitch — improving conversion rates.
How to configure the Dummy Progress Bar
- Upload your video to Panda Video.
- Click on the video to access its settings.
- Click the option "Dummy Progress Bar".
Within the Fake Progress Bar settings, you can customize three main aspects:
- Height: Set the thickness of the bar that appears below the video.
- Speed: Adjust the progression speed of the bar based on the total video length.
- Percentage: Choose the point in the video when the bar starts to accelerate. For example, if you set it to 50%, the bar will move faster up to halfway through the video.
Once you’ve finished customizing, click “Publish” to save your settings.
Your fake progress bar will now be visible to your viewers.
