How to configure the domain in Panda Video?
Learn how to configure the domain where your videos will be played
With domain protection, you can enter the domains where your videos can be played. With this protection, even if a user has the video link, it will not be possible to watch the video due to this setting.
To configure your domain is very simple:
Log in to your account(https://dashboard.pandavideo.com.br/#/)
On your Dashboard, click Security
The domains tab will now open, where you will have the “add domains” option.
Clicking on the option will open a box where you can insert it.
You can enter more than one domain, and on membership platforms you must also enter the subdomain.
(Example: membros.pandavideo.com.br)
By default, incorporation is allowed for all domains. To configure specific domains, enter the domain, example:
students.yourdomain.com
students.yourdomain.com.br
If you want to release it to any of your subdomains, enter the subdomain with an asterisk (*):
*.yourdomain.com
*.yourdomain.com.br
When the domain is successfully entered, after a few seconds it will appear with the writing "active" next to it.
How to remove a domain?
To remove a domain (or several at once), simply select the one you want, and select the "remove" option, just confirm that you want to remove the selected domain and within a few seconds, it will no longer appear on your panel.
Understand the functionality of enabling/disabling domain verification:
This functionality causes the player, when loaded, to identify whether this is a permitted page for presenting video content; if it is not, viewing the video will not be authorized.
However, for it to work perfectly, the content must be on the web and thus have an assigned referee policy, which is not possible in apps or programs in this sense. With this in mind, we developed the possibility of activating and deactivating this functionality, so that this portion of users is included in a more practical way.
How to disable domain verification?
To deactivate/activate, still in the “Allowed domains” tab, simply click on the switch next to “Only allow selected domains”, a box will appear asking you to confirm the option with your password, just enter and confirm the option.
Note: If you deactivate the function, be aware that domain verification will be disabled, therefore allowing content to be presented on any platform.
What is 403 Forbidden error and how to fix it?
The 403 Forbidden error is an HTTP status code that means that access to the page or resource you were trying to view is prohibited. This happens when the domain where the video is being displayed is not available in your Panda account.
The fix is very simple, just check the domain where the video is inserted. The common mistake is to add only the domain/subdomain from the members area or release the domain without the "www" or other host used. Just add all the hosts where you want to use your videos.
How to resolve the 403 Forbidden error?
Login to the Panda dashboard
Click on "Released Domains" on the left side
Add all hosts, domains or subdomains that should use Panda-hosted videos
You can also add the domain asterisk like *.yourdomain.com.br to free up all subdomains linked to it. It is important to say that, if your website does not have a subdomain (it is directly in the root domain), you only need to release yourdomain.com.br (without the asterisk)
