Player Profile: How do I set different player profiles?
What Is a Player Profile and How to Use It
A Player Profile allows you to create and manage sets of configurations for your video players.
Instead of configuring each video individually, you can create a profile with your preferred settings and use it to standardize the playback experience across your content.
Each profile can include different player settings, such as colors, controls, and other features available on the platform.
To learn more about the available player settings, check out the article Customize Player Settings: Colors, Controls, and Other Functions.
1. Accessing Player Profiles
To access your profiles, click Player in the platform's side menu.
On this page, you can view all the profiles created in your account, along with information such as:
- Profile name;
- Number of videos associated with each profile;
- Date of the last modification.
You can also use the search field to find a specific profile.

2. What Is the Default Player Profile?
Every video in your account uses a Player Profile.
The Default Player Profile is automatically applied to videos that do not have another specific profile assigned to them.
In the profile list, the profile set as the default is identified with the Default label.
Setting a New Default Player Profile
You can change your account's Default Player Profile at any time through the options menu of the profile you want to set as default.
When setting a new default profile, if there are videos associated with the current Default Player Profile, the platform will ask you to choose what you want to do with those videos.
You can choose between:
- Apply this new Default Profile: Videos using the previous Default Player Profile will be updated to use the newly selected profile.
- Keep the current profile: Existing videos will continue using their current profile, while the new Default Player Profile will only be applied to future uploads.
After selecting your preferred option, click Apply to confirm the change.
Important: The change will only be completed after you confirm your selection.

3. How to Create a New Player Profile
To create a new profile, go to the Player page and click Create Player in the upper-right corner of the screen.
When you start the creation process, a window will display several Ready-made Player templates, designed for different types of content.
The available templates include:
- Panda Video initial template: The platform's recommended default configuration;
- Classes & Courses: A template designed for educational content;
- VSL - Conversion & Sales: A template with recommended settings for sales videos;
- Podcast: A template designed for content in this format.
Each template offers a different combination of player settings and features.
Select the template that best suits your needs and click Continue.

The preview displayed during this step is for illustrative purposes only. The configuration will only be applied to videos after the profile is confirmed and used.
4. Customizing Your Player Profile
After creating a profile, you can access its settings page to customize it.
The available settings allow you to adjust different aspects of the playback experience, including colors, controls, and other player features.
To learn more about each available setting, check out the following article:
Customize Player Settings: Colors, Controls, and Other Functions
5. You Can Have Multiple Player Profiles
You can create different profiles to use in specific situations.
This allows you to organize your videos according to the needs of each type of content.
For example, you can create:
- A specific profile for classes and courses;
- A profile for sales videos;
- A profile with different settings for specific clients or audiences;
- Alternative profiles to test different configurations.
This way, different videos within the same account can use different Player Profiles.
6. Managing Your Player Profiles
On the profile list page, each profile has an options menu.
Through this menu, you can perform different actions related to the selected profile.
The available options include:
- Edit a profile;
- Rename a profile;
- Duplicate a profile;
- Set a profile as the default;
- Restore the settings;
- Remove a profile.

7. How to Identify Videos Associated with a Profile
When accessing a Player Profile, you can see how many videos are associated with it.
This information is displayed both on the main Player page, in the profile list, and within the profile itself after clicking Edit, allowing you to quickly identify where that configuration is being used.
You can also access the list of videos associated with a profile to make managing your video library easier.

8. Applying Different Profiles to Your Videos
Player Profiles allow you to use different configurations for different groups of videos.
For example, you can maintain one configuration for educational content, another for sales videos, and another for specific types of content.
Additionally, when changing your account's Default Player Profile, you can choose whether videos using the previous default profile should also receive the new profile or whether the change should apply only to future uploads.
This flexibility allows you to adapt your player settings to the organization and specific needs of your video library.
