Video Review and Comments

The Video Review and Comments feature allows you and your team to add feedback directly on the video timeline, making the review process faster, more visual, and collaborative — both within your Panda Video account and through a shareable external link.

1️⃣ What is Video Review

Video Review is a dedicated area where you can watch the video, pause at a specific point, and leave a comment linked to the exact timestamp.

This helps editors and reviewers pinpoint exactly where adjustments need to be made.

2️⃣ How to Access the Review

1. Open the desired video inside the Panda Video dashboard.
2. In the action menu (⋮) next to the Embed button, click Review.
3. You’ll be redirected to the internal review screen.

3️⃣ Internal Review Screen

The internal screen is intended for logged-in users within Panda Video.

Here, you can:

• Add comments linked to the current time in the video.
• Reply to other users’ comments.
• Mark comments as resolved.
• Hide or show resolved comments.
• Copy the external review link.

4️⃣ External Review Screen

The external screen is designed for invited users who access via a shared link.

These users can:

• Enter their name before commenting.
• Add new comments.
• Reply to existing comments.
• Mark comments as completed.

⚠️ Limitations for external users:

• They cannot edit or delete comments made by others.

5️⃣ Timeline Markers and Use Cases

Each comment is represented by a marker icon on the player’s progress bar.

• Clicking the icon jumps the video to the exact time of that comment.
• Resolved comments can be hidden if desired.

Examples of use cases:

• Reviewing classes, institutional videos, or client materials.
• Providing precise feedback to video editors.
• Approving final versions before publishing.
