Video Dubbing with AI, LipSync, and File Upload

At Panda Video, you can generate dubbing for your videos using different methods, depending on your needs. Below, we explain the available options.

Generating AI dubbing consumes credits from your account. To understand the credit values and time rounding rules, check this article: How do Panda Video credits work?

1. AI Dubbing (Standard)

This option generates a new translated audio in the chosen language, while keeping the original video. It’s ideal for those who want speed and simplicity without changing the player or video layout.

Configuration steps:

  1. Select the original language of the video.
  2. Choose the target language for dubbing.
  3. Specify the number of voices (how many people speak in the video). If unsure, use Detect automatically so the AI can determine this for you.
  4. You can clone the voice from the original language, preserving the identity of the content. If unchecked, the AI will select compatible voices from the library.

2. AI Dubbing with LipSync

This option synchronizes the translated audio with the lip movements of people in the video. A new video is generated, visually replacing the original speech — all in the same player.

Configuration steps:

  1. Select the original language of the video.
  2. Choose the target language for dubbing.
  3. Specify the number of voices or use automatic detection.
  4. Voice cloning is applied by default to preserve the identity of your content.
  5. Enable dynamic duration: automatically adjusts the dubbed speech duration to match the original.
  6. Enhance voice quality: improves the generated voice but may reduce similarity to the original.
  7. Remove background music: removes audio tracks that might interfere with dubbing.

Limit: LipSync dubbing is available only for videos up to 30 minutes in length.

⚠️ As a new video is generated in LipSync dubbing, additional storage will be used alongside the original video.

3. Best practices for AI Dubbing

To ensure more accurate and realistic dubbing, follow these recommendations:

  • Ensure audio quality in the video: The clarity and definition of the original audio are essential.
  • Only one person speaking at a time: Avoid overlapping voices in the original video.
  • Framing and positioning (LipSync): Make sure lips are visible, facing or slightly angled toward the camera. Avoid sudden cuts and fast movements.
  • Avoid loud music: Background music can interfere with dubbing if too loud.

4. Upload custom dubbing

You can also use your own dubbing. Just upload an .mp3 audio file with the translated content.

  1. Upload the dubbing file.
  2. Select the language of the uploaded file.

Ensure the audio duration matches your video’s length to avoid errors.

5. Where does dubbing appear in the video?

No matter which method you choose, dubbing will be available in the video player, under Settings > Audio.

6. Can I Use the Dubbing Separately?

  • Download the MP3 audio generated by Panda Video.
