Bandwidth Consumption Detail

Whenever a video is played, downloaded, or protected with DRM, bandwidth is consumed.

To help you track this usage transparently, Panda Video provides a detailed bandwidth consumption report with specific data by activity type.

📊 How to access the report

  1. Go to the Panda Video Dashboard.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, click “Analytics”.
  3. Click on “Bandwidth Details".
  4. Finally, open the “Band Details” tab located in the right side of the screen.

🚦 What consumes bandwidth?

  • Plays: When the video is watched by a student or visitor.

  • Downloads: When the video is downloaded directly from the dashboard, either by you or other account members.

  • DRM (watermark): When the video uses dynamic watermark protection (DRM), it also generates bandwidth usage.

IMPORTANT: Soon, you will be able to view bandwidth consumption per student directly on the Panda Video platform.

📌 What can you see in the report?

For each entry, the report details:

  • Type of consumption (Play, Download, or DRM)
  • Action timestamp
  • IP address
  • Video watched or downloaded
  • Device used
  • Amount of bandwidth consumed

This information helps identify usage patterns and ensures your bandwidth is well managed.

🎛️ Available filters

You can apply the following filters at the top of the page:

  • Time period (start and end dates)
  • Specific video
  • Consumption type (DRM, Plays, or Downloads)

These filters make analysis easier and allow for more strategic decisions about resource usage and video protection.
