The Secure Offline Video feature in Panda Video lets you, as a course creator, offer your students a protected way to watch course videos even without an internet connection — all while retaining control and security over your content.

Why enable Panda Video’s Secure Offline Video?

With this feature enabled:

• Videos can only be watched within the Panda Video app
• Content cannot be exported, shared, or played outside the app
• Access can be time‑limited (e.g. 30 days), preventing indefinite use

Step‑by‑Step: Enabling Secure Offline Video

1. Go to the video settings

Log into your Panda Video dashboard, locate the video list, and click on the video you want to make available for secure download.

2. Enable “Secure Offline Video”

In the video settings, find this option and toggle it on.

3. Set the download validity period

Choose how long the video can be viewed offline after download (for example, 30 days). After that period, the video will expire and the student will need to scan the QR Code again to revalidate.

4. Enable the download button in the player

When enabled, a download button and QR Code will appear directly within the video player, allowing the student to initiate the download via the app.

5. (Optional) Add an external link

You may configure an additional button linking externally, for example, to your membership area. Simply enable the “External link button” in the video settings.

Important Configuration Details

• Lesson title in the app: It’s the same as in your dashboard. Make sure it’s clear and well‑organized.
• QR Code required: Students must scan the QR Code from the player to download the video. This ensures secure and authenticated access.
• Configurable validity: After expiration, the video must be downloaded again.
• Guaranteed security: Videos cannot be exported and only play inside the Panda Video app.

The title displayed in the app is the same one configured in your dashboard. To change it, edit directly in that video’s settings.

4. Can I change the validity period after the video has already been downloaded?

Yes. The update will apply to new downloads. If the previous download has already expired, the student must scan the QR Code again to download it anew.
